School of Health Care

The School of Health Care of Guangxi Vocational and Technical College precisely aligns with the "Healthy China" strategy's macro health industry, and leverages the natural ecological advantages of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region which is recognized as the hometown of longevity in China as well as the resort for health care. It focuses on the six essential elements of the entire macro health industry chain, including healthcare, health-oriented elderly care, health management, health food, health tourism, and health exercise. The school strives to build a health care educational brand that embodies virtue, physical and mental purity, refined behavior, superb skills, and efficient service. Centered on the major of traditional Chinese medicine and health care, it establishes a major group of health care by integrating majors like traditional Chinese medicine and rehabilitation technology, hotel management and digital operations, tourism management, and culinary techniques and nutrition. The school is dedicated to cultivating international and intelligent personnel who are developmental, innovative and skilled in a multidisciplinary field, and can well serve the new industry of the entire lifecycle and all age groups within the macro health industry. Currently, the school has over 1,800 students from across the country and overseas, with more than 60 full-time and part-time teachers (of which 50% are skilled craftsmen from the front lines of enterprises with rich practical experience, and over 50% of part-time enterprise teachers are senior engineers or senior technicians).

The School of Health Care adheres to the educational philosophy of “serving as the purpose, employment as the orientation, and skill training as the core”. It has achieved outstanding results in areas like international cooperative education, school-enterprise cooperation, practical training conditions, faculty development, curriculum construction, skills competitions, and social services. The college has already established school-enterprise partnerships with several organizations and institutions, including Guangxi State Farms Group Co.,Ltd.-Mingyang International Health City, Guangxi Jiangbin Hospital, Guangxi Workers' Hospital, Shanghai Century Platinum Hotel, Shanghai Hongqiao Cordis Hotel, Guangxi Wosheng Hotel, Guangzhou Qinghuaci Health Management Co., Ltd., and Guangxi Chaoruishi Sports Rehabilitation Center, to cultivate skilled personnel for the macro health industry.
