School of Agricultural Engineering

The School of Agricultural Engineering is a prestigious second-level school with the traditional and new agricultural disciplines complementing each other, which adheres to the basic task “fostering virtue through education”, takes the responsibility of strengthening and promoting agriculture, and takes the initiative to serve the national strategy of rural revitalization and the construction of strong agriculture. The School of Agricultural Engineering features agricultural engineering and takes serving modern agricultural industry as the main line to build four high-level professional groups, namely the national "Double-High Plan" tea tree cultivation and tea processing professional group, the Guangxi "Double-High Plan" tea production and processing technology professional group, the Guangxi "Double-High Plan" food intelligent processing technology professional group, and the modern agricultural technology professional group. At present, there are seven majors (including professional direction) in tea production and processing technology, tea art and tea culture, horticulture technology, animal husbandry and veterinary medicine (including pet grooming and diagnosis and treatment direction), food intelligent processing technology, food inspection and testing technology. More than 2,300 students are currently enrolled.

The school boasts a team of full-time teachers and part-time teachers with double qualifications, professional ethics and conduct of teachers, solid professional knowledge, excellent technical skills and strong comprehensive quality. There are 82 staff members, including 7 PhDs, 53 master's degree holders, 28 teachers with senior titles and 35 teachers with intermediate titles. There are 1 national excellent teacher, 2 famous teachers of the first agricultural vocational colleges of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Areas to serve rural revitalization, 1 famous teachers of Guangxi, 2 excellent teachers of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, 1 master of Guangxi Tea industry, 7 special commissioners of Guangxi Rural science and Technology, 1 Guangxi technical expert, 1 chief technician of Nanning, and 7 Guangxi Tea technician evaluators. Tea production and processing technology teacher team won the third batch of national vocational education teacher innovation team project construction unit and autonomous region level vocational education teacher teaching innovation team project construction unit.

After more than 50 years of construction and development, the school has cultivated nearly 10,000 graduates for all walks of life, and transported a large number of senior technical and management talents for modern agricultural production in South China, which has been praised by industry enterprises, and the employment rate of graduates has reached more than 95%.
