School of Intelligent Manufacturing

The School of Intelligent Manufacturing offers six majors within the category of equipment manufacturing: Industrial Robot Technology, Electrical Automation Technology, Mechanical Manufacturing and Automation, Mold Design and Manufacturing, Mechatronics Technology, and Intelligent Manufacturing Equipment Technology. Among them, the Industrial Robot Technology is the core of the professional group, the cultivation major of vocational education at the undergraduate level, and a brand major for international cooperation and talent cultivation. The Electrical Automation Technology is a key construction major at the national level and a demonstration characteristic major at the autonomous region level.The Mechanical Manufacturing and Automation is also a demonstration characteristic major at the autonomous region level. There are now more than 2,100 students in school. It has established the China-Thailand Intelligent Manufacturing Modern Craftsman College with Bankhai Technical College, Thailand, jointly cultivating 35 international students.

The school boasts a well-structured, high-quality, and capable faculty team with “double qualifications”. There are currently 52 faculty and staff members, including 1 PhD, 33 master’s degree holders, 15 with senior professional titles, 23 with intermediate professional titles, 11 senior technicians, and 35 full-time teachers with “double qualifications”. The school also has 1 renowned teacher in the national electromechanical industry, 1 model teacher in the autonomous region, 3 technical experts in Guangxi, 1 member of the expert database of the Guangxi Science and Technology Department, 1 expert in the teacher qualification test for colleges, 4 judges for the higher vocational group in the Guangxi vocational college skills competition, 8 judges for the secondary vocational group, and 5 members of the National Intelligent Manufacturing Expert Steering Committee (Industry-Education Integration Steering Committee). The school has also engaged a number of practical experts, master craftsmen, and skilled workers from industrial enterprises as part-time teachers.

The school has jointly built three large training centers with leading enterprises in China’s top 500 and Guangxi’s top 50 industries: the “Industrial Robot Application Technology Training Center”, the “Modern Manufacturing Technology Training Center” and the “Electrical Automation Technology Training Base” as well as a training base for the China-Thailand Intelligent Manufacturing Modern Craftsman College. It has 2 demonstration characteristic majors and training bases at the autonomous region level, 3 majors selected as pilot programs for the Ministry of Education’s “1+X” certificate system, and 1 “1+X” certificate ASEAN assessment and management center.
